Client IntraMaps Public sites get a new home
Over the past few years DMS NZ has hosted Client IntraMap Public sites on the DMS Australia public web server. With increasing requests for local hosting DMS NZ have now built a scalable state of the art Public Web Hosting server located in a Data Centre within New Zealand. The main reasons for this move were performance within New Zealand, ease of access when clients needed to upload large files such as ECW imagery or documents, and new functionality where clients can now configure and modify their own public sites. Finally DMS NZ are also in the process of providing all IntraMaps Public Clients with a portal to view their visitor statistics online. This service will be released early October.

31st Annual ALGIM Conference
During November 2011 DMS attended the ALGIM Conference as a vendor. The conference is a good opportunity to showcase new and innovative technology to Local Government.
Our focus this year was on the existing IntraMaps platform as well as the soon to be released IntraMaps 2012. Existing clients at the conference were keen to learn more about the upcoming version and when they could get it installed and configured at their council. For new and interested parties it was about understanding what DMS offered in the line of an "out of the box" solution, IntraMaps, and the services that we offer to compliment our industry leading web mapping GIS software.
A decision was made to send all DMS staff to the ALGIM Conference. This ensured that all aspects of the team were well represented. Thanks to Simon, Sarah, and Ethan for managing a great exhibitor stand and entertaining clients and prosprective clients in the evenings. Also happy birthday to Ethan who had the entire conference and the band sing him happy birthday thanks to Dave Camper of NCS.
